FURTHER DETAILS

We live in an accelerated age. We consume a million images a day. All duplicated, copied, pasted from the lexicon of the past. A continuum, diachronic, complete with the pixelation and distortion of a copy.

Diachronic: adjective, concerned with the way in which something, especially language and culture, has developed and evolved through time. Mid 19th century: from dia- ‘through’ + Greek khronos ‘time’ + -ic.
